The most common way our customers tend to calm their thyroid nodules is by applying a castor oil pack that covers the throat area where the thyroid gland is located. Here are some instructions on how to make one!
Step 1) Pour our cold-pressed castor oil onto a soft cloth or towel (flannel works great!), saturating the fabric, but not to the point where it's dripping. Note, some people tell you to soak it until it's "dripping", I prefer to avoid the mess.
Step 2) Place the oil-soaked cloth over the right side of your abdomen, just under your rib cage (this is where your liver is located).
Step 3) Cover one side of your castor soaked cloth with a plastic wrap. This helps you press the cloth against your skin, as well as helps the heating process. (Saranwrap is popular for this! I've also heard of people who use cut up trash bags and that seems to work well.)
Step 4) Apply a heating pad or hot water bottle over the pack for 30-60 minutes.
Step 5) Relax during the treatment; consider lying down to maximize comfort and effectiveness.
Step 6) Afterward, store the pack in a sealed container for reuse. Reapply 2-3 times a week for several weeks.
